2020 Highs & Lows

There are so many things I can say about this rollercoaster of a year, but I am going to keep things positive and not dwell on things out of my control (I am already practicing some resolutions.) All I can say is that it was one hell of a ride.

In my family, we always go around the table at holiday dinners and do our “Highs and Lows.” It’s become a tradition that even our friends come prepared for. Here is my list for 2020:

Highs:

  • Our family vacation to Australia.

  • Laughed a lot with my quaranteam - and drank a lot of tequila!

  • Spent nearly EVERY SINGLE MINUTE with my family.

  • Cooking incredible dinners and cracking equally incredible wines.

  • Watched Waylon start school, and actually get to go.

  • Read and listen to a ton of great books.

  • Watch my little brother get married (which is one of the only times I got to see my family)

  • Forced myself to slow down and enjoyed the quiet time.

Lows:

  • Losing Milo in August

  • The loss of control in our life.

  • Not being able to enjoy proper gatherings.

  • Canceling travel plans.

All in all, we survived…as we always do…but I am really looking forward to 2021.

HAPPY NEW YEAR and CHEERS!

xx,

Emily
