Marigold Wreath

Fall has me loving marigolds this year. I was looking at fall decorations on Pinterest and came across a marigold wreath. Bingo, I needed to make them for the Tasting Room windows for our Wine Club Pick-Up Party before we start decorating for the holidays!

Of course, once I made my decision I needed to make these, I went on a mad search for marigolds. All of the farm stands were sold out! Luckily, my friend and neighbor made a call and we were able to go straight to the fields and pick our own - another reason I love living in a small town! This is a super easy DIY and adds a pop of color to your fall decorations.

Here is what I used:

  • 14” Grapevine Wreath

  • Glue Gun

  • Marigolds - Mine took about 35 per frame but you can go as heavy or light as you want.

  • Clear thick fishing line to hang them - or use a pretty ribbon.

I started by adding my fishing line so I knew which was the top. Snip the stems down to about 2-3” and start tucking them inside the grapevines. I secured them with hot glue and kept adding the flowers to the frame until it was full.

It’s really as simple as that and you end up with a gorgeous wreath. I have no clue how it’s going to dry out, but only time will tell!

Give it a try and enjoy!!

It was such a great pre-soccer morning to have the opportunity to harvest these gorgeous flowers for such a special handmade decoration.
