Up on the Gold Coast there is a little beach town called Tugan, smack in the middle of surfers paradise. While we didn’t have any real plan once we flew up to Brisbane we managed to score a great Airbnb apartment the say we arrived that was just steps from the sand in the heart of this cute beach community. Fortunately, we have some friends who live just down the street so we got to spend time with locals - the best way to travel if you ask me.

There was just one little glitch in our beach vaca plan, it was the pouring rain! We were in the middle of a pretty big summer storm (but more on that in my post from Byron Bay.) Thank goodness it was hot and balmy and we could still be at the beach and enjoy some much needed time in the water.

Rob and I keep talking about the apartment and how great it would be to rent for a month…or two…and just work remotely while looking out at the ocean.
